Underground newspaper based in New York, this issue’s main feature is "Patti Smith in a Rage Over Nude Pictures", which are credited to the paper's photographer "Lois Lane" (the photos may, or may not, be the work of New York photographer Judy Linn). The accompanying text to the photos are of Smith's attempt at blocking publication of the photos.
Also, includes articles on the NYPD’s Red Squad, a special intelligence squad who are "... part of a frightening, national coordinated effort to stifle dissent on the local level." Also, the article “The Beauty Worshippers. First in a Series" by Lois Lane (Daily Planet Society Writer)”. A full page, mostly of photos, on a Jerry Garcia solo show at the Capitol Theatre in Passic, N.J. ("There was a lot of drinking, a lot of drugs and a few arrests.").
