Condition for this poster is about good with some chips to the top corners and at the top centre, few small tears along the edges, fold marks with a few small holes at the cross points of some of the folds, some darkening at the top which is more evident on the back of the poster. Written in pencil on the poster is a small note, “To Heather, From Pop. 1 Jul 45”.
Size is 17 ½” x 22 ½”, printed on one side only.
From the Canadian Military Police Association website: "On July 1, 1945, No. 2 Division held a big Mardi Gras at Bad Zwischenahn featuring a real Canadian midway, a rodeo, races, picture shows, stage shows, a parade of floats, an exhibition of rocket-firing Typhoon fighter planes, one-man German submarines and German large-calibre guns, duo fireworks and swimming and boat races. A real first of July celebration!”
