    Circa 1920s poster advertising truck turn signals from the TurnSignal Corporation of Philadelphia. Turn signals didn’t become standard on vehicles until 1939, beginning in 1909 many companies started to manufacture them as add-ons to their vehicles. This company, TurnSignal Corporation, designed turn signals to be used on trucks. Scarce.

    Condition for this handbill is good only with some chipping to the corners, also small chip to the right side of handbill at middle fold, there are light fold marks, there are
    TWO 3 1/2" x 2" pieces of tape
    on the back that are placed at both sides of the middle fold (see photos), on the reverse of the sheet the names listed on the far right side column just under the tape are worn away, there is also a affixed sheet of paper 9" x 4" with notations printed, typed and in pen (the typed notations have faded for the most part) this affixed part is part of an additional list of patrons for Brownell Hearses.
    Size is 9" x 12".
    An original handbill from George L. Brownell New Bedford, Massachusetts, advertising their Hearse Manufactory business with a list of clients on the reverse and an addendum slip affixed listing a few more clients (typed clients have faded but the printed and written list is still very legible). A scarce handbill probably from the 1880s to early 1890s.

    Softcover oblong string bound, size is 7" x 4 1/2".
    "John C. Fremont, DJ Newland and Lewis Nixon founded the company in the early 1900s. The seat was in Jersey City in New Jersey . First came boat motors. In April 1901 the production of automobiles was added. The brand name was Long Distance. CC Riotte was the designer. In November 1901, plans were for ten to twelve vehicles a week. Vehicle production ended in 1903. In early 1904 a reorganization resulted in the Standard Motor Construction Company." (Wikipedia)
